If ever in doubt, go for the classic; jeans and a white shirt. It’s a staple look that will forever stand the test of time. It’s an everyday, every occasion style that can be dress down or up, for that Parisian laid back but sexy look.

This really is possibly the best cookie cut outfit you could go for. Its always the chicest, and one I often go for when heading to dinners. Remember its better to be the laid back chic who looks effortless but well put together, nobody wants to be the super dressed up girl in the tutu dress.

So this time I wanted to give it a little twist. With those two tone, split jeans being the season’s ‘it’ denim, I knew I wanted to show how chic they could look and that they weren’t just a one season gimmick.

Teaming those H&M beauties (remember  you may want to grab the H&M jeans in a size up!) with my new and absolutely crazy but intriguing ruffled shirt. I’ve worn a lot of ruffles, and lets face it, they’ve been trusted in our faces since this time last year. But this shirt kind of takes it to the next level.

In no way are the ruffles louder or more oversized than any others, its simply the placement on the arms that gets me. It makes the shirt alot more flamboyant, almost taking on that whole bull master look, but still in a subtle way. Its safe to say this piece is definitely one of those sneaky show stoppers, one that people may not notice at the time, but it will have everyone looking at it like a dèja vû by the end of the night.

Another key trend that shirt hits is the sporty zip detail. A nod to the sporty trend taking over at the moment.

Having worn this outfit twice this week (and planned once more for a meeting next week), I’ve played around with accessories to give the look a different vibe. The black suede ruffles worn in the picture keep the look minimal, compared to the chunky gold heels I through on for a dinner with clothing company, Nobody’s Child. —– We went to Bourn and Hollingsworth, if you haven’t been already you must! Its a bloggers all white and plant/forest style dream!

Note on the shoes, if you’re a half size and are going for the suede ruffle heels, go down one size!
