Today I’m going to give you the low down on this seasons must have trends from the one of the most renowned online sites, featuring the most luxury designer fashion available. Find all the luxury designer womenswear pieces you’re going to have to invest into, to survive the know it all fashion crowd, critical writers and ruthless fashion week photographers.

So it starts, as it normally does, with an Instagram obsession. This collaboration came after I had well and truly stalked and became obsessed with Avenue 32‘s very owner founder, Roberta Benteler. It was around a year ago that I was introduced to her incredibly unique and flamboyant dressing, a chic mix for eclectic prints and shapes, all in the new and most sort after brands. She had me hooked! When finding out that she was the founder of the highly respected online fashion bible, Avenue 32, it made me want to look further into the brand, it made me feel comfortable in the fact that she herself, being such an inventive stylist, was going to give me the answers I needed to be her (in a non-pyscho way).

With Roberta Benteler’s own personal view on how to style it all, here are the must have seasonal trends to get stuck into right away:

1. Stripes

What: Yes the standard Breton stripe is a classic, and a minimal vertical stripe is oh so flattering but this season forget about that. They’re coming in all colours widths and directions. Its also about the stripe clash. Think bold.

Who: Sonia Rykiel, Roksanda, Rosetta Getty, Ganni, Haider Ackermann, No,21, Isabel Marant Étoile, Marco de Vincenzo, FLOW the Label, Johnathon Simkhai, Clu, LemLem, Leur Logette, Ace & Jig, Mira Mikati.

Roberta says: “Stripes
are a timeless classic and can be worn in a plethora of ways. Inject some
colour into your look with this multi-coloured top by Rosetta Getty and pair
with wide leg trousers to streamline your bottom half.”

Styling tip: Don’t
shy away from white shoes; white accessories are a huge trend for SS17.

2. Shirting

What: I’m a huge fan of the ever evolving shirt, and this season its taken the inventiveness up another notch. Think D.I.Y, lots of knots, extra long sleeves. Chic yet disheveled.

Who: Rosetta Getty, Isa Arfan, Com-un, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Victoria Victoria Beckham, Vivetta, Dodo Bar Or, Isabel Marant Étoile, Marco de Vincenzo, Vilshenko, Vivetta, Alessandra Rich, Alexander Wang, Clu, Haider Ackermann, Jonathon Simkhai, Sea NY, Shrimps.

Roberta says: “A
white shirt gets updated with a new twist every season. Sculptural embellishments
star this time round and the focal bow on Victoria Victoria Beckham’s version
is a case in point. It’s office and weekend appropriate.”

Styling tip: Master
smart casual dressing by teaming shirts with jeans and colour-pop pumps.

3. Shoulder- Exposing Necklines

What: Every type of personality or occasion there is a shoulder baring style for you. The trend is still huge with plenty of variations this season from the complete strapless to small slits.

Who: Rosetta Getty, Beaufille, FLOW the Label, Victoria by Victoria Beckham, All Things Mochi, Alice McCall, Gül Hürgel, Lisa Maria Fernandez, Maticevski, Preen by Thornton Bregazzi, Alice Templerly, Zimmerman, Rachel Comey, Antonio Berardi, Emilio de la Morena, Isa Arfen, Com-un, Johnathon Simkhai, Natasha Zinko, Sea NY, Sonia Rykiel, Ulla Johnson, LemLem, Haider Ackermann.

Roberta says: “Off-the-the
shoulder styles aren’t just for summer. You can wear them now and cover up with
some inventive layering, like this Rosetta Getty top with a shirt or light polo
neck underneath.”

Styling Tip: Cropped kick flares
are all the rage and give the look a ’70s flavour.

4. Ruffles

What: Romantic ruffles? No no, this season they’re fierce. Bolder and harsher. Gone are the sweet floaty numbers replaced by cool and sexier styles. Bolder materials pleated in rara-like rows.

Who: 3.1 Phillip Lim, Marco de Vincenzo, Beaufille, Isabel Marant Étoile, Y/Project, Galvan, Gül Hürgel, Isa Arfen, Peter Pilotto, Rachel Comey, Antonio Berardi, Jonathan Simkhai, Paskal, Preen by Thornton Bregazzi, Rochas, Ganni, A.W.A.K.E, FLOW the Label, LemLem.

Roberta says:  “As this attention-grabbing Natasha Zinko
blouse demonstrates, ruffles are now running down seams and around collars. Stylishly
temper the volume with sleek separates to create a playfully polished
day-to-night look.”

Styling tip: Ground
with loafers by day and opt for statement heels after dark.

Avenue 32 have also teamed up with London Fashion Weekend for a not-to-be missed catwalk show, displaying the SS17 trends in real motion. Sometimes its easier to visualise what things will look like on you when you can see them gliding on an actual body.
