TOPSHOP DENIM

I’ve worn Topshop jeans for years, well, probably about 12 years now, and it doesn’t look like that’s going to change anytime soon.

Their jeans are my favourite! From their thick yet stretchy, skinny Jamie jeans that I wore throughout my early 20’s, to their boyfriend jeans, Lucas, or classic straight cut which I seem to be leaning more towards at the moment.

They have a shape, feel and cut for every shape, not to mention the tall and petite range which is a god send, especially when you’re 5’1 like me!

I have around 20 pairs of Topshop jeans in my wardrobe at the moment, but non of them are from the Topshop Boutique range, well until today. Let me introduce you to the new Boutique collection of straight cut and frayed edge jeans. A take on their iconic styles from the mainline with a slight edge. Think more sassy, mature and more fashion forward.

Grabbing every style they had in store, I headed to the Topshop Personal Shopping department like a crazy denim lady. As I began to squeeze into them, I realised I didn’t actually have to squeeze. Their mainline styles come up a little small but always stretch, back when I was a personal shopper there I use to recommend to go down a size, but the Boutique jeans are true to size.

I fell in love with the light vintage looking straight leg jeans with the Peter Pan edging. Not my style on the hanger but it just proves you have to try on. They fit like a dream, whilst still a high waist, they sit lower than the others, so it gives more of a relaxed feel. A straight leg which is actually a straight leg! Plus the star edge is in line with that more eccentric look I seem to be collecting.

Throwing on a light pink Boutique vest, I feel like 2012 Monikh, this was my signature look! Laid back, uber casual chic. It feels good to be home!

Another pair that I tried on but didn’t buy where the dark indigo straight legs with the 70’s style ring pull. They really sucked you in! But in more of a going out way. I tried them on with a logo t-shirt and my new khaki military jacket — another fashion flash back. It was such a cool look, but super 70’s and I didn’t know if I was going down that route this season, but when I got home I instantly regretted it and bought them! Am sure I’ll be posting them soon!
