CHLOE GIRLS IN PARIS

Did you all see the Chloe show in Paris?! Well of course if you’re on Instagram you would of. Their Nile bag was on every fashionista gracing the Parisian pebbled streets with a herd of photographers running after them.

Chloe was also clever enough to dress the most iconic influencers of the moment, which was a sure thing to make everyone else put those bits to the top of their wish list, including me.

WHAT DID THE SHOW TELL ME?

Well it told me that retro 70’s is huge for AW17. Stick to soft blues and oranges, yes those classic 70’s prints are the ones you want, and they follow on from the SS17 collection.

But to be honest, its the Street Style Chloe girls that I’m really after.

WHAT THE CHLOE GIRLS TELL ME:

Midi dresses and skirts are still going strong – thankfully as I’ve purchased around 50 in the last month alone. It also told me that that oversized, Olsen twin style is the answer. Playing around with proportions takes guts, and when done well it can be incredible! I’m 5’1 but often wear midi dresses with long jumpers or jacket on top, which some how balance everything out and work super well. Its also refreshing to stay away from a short fitted jacket which others may do.

Oversized is the answer. And layers.

Their SS17 collection which was on all the style lovers around Paris yesterday, is now available online. Lots of feminine florals in dusky blues and oranges with a 70’s floral print again — HEAVEN! These are the type of pieces that can be mixed and matched with highstreet gems. They will also be weather safe. Think midi floral skirts with oversized knits and flat biker boots. London Summer magic. When the weather is better trade the jumper in for a semi sheer flowing blouse, and swap the biker boots for a pair of fluffy slip ons — full feather post coming soon! Also try not tucking tops in, let them hang loose, and the longer and wider the better.

Also not tried that orca/mimosa yellow yet!?! This trend is a great way to worm it into the wardrobe. Play around with the colour either as a base or for accessories. I truly believe the colour was made for a full stand out look, so try it in a dress or matching top/trouser combo, and then soften it with the super oversized knit in a greys, brown, light pinks. It will make you feel safer having something calm wrapped around you.
