Every now and then theres a moment where I well and truly eat my own words, and today is that day. I put my hands up, I said it, I warned the world against the cardigan. I said they would never come back in, I would never wear one, want one, need one. Never say never.
This changed when I realised there was something missing from my life, a shoulder covering something, that a denim jacket and leather just couldn’t cover. They were too stiff, formal even, and with me transitioning my wardrobe into its premature Autumn style (early I know but I just get so excited!) I knew I needed something softer, a little more bohemian even.
Welcome to the world, my new Marant number. The perfect Nana friendly piece I am now totally obsessed with, and yes, even in this weather. At the moment with my simple short linen dresses they are the perfect jacket option, hung loosely on the arms. A jacket that makes you feel covered, cool and more relaxed. I mean I love a dress, but sometimes I can feel a little exposed, and this is the perfect balance to show a little more boyish edge.
