About a year ago, maybe two, I wrote a post about Rixo, the new designer on the block by two babes of West London. Their vintage inspired designs pull on those easy, floaty gypsy heart strings, covering every occasion possible. Designed in house, and named after them and the people around them, the designs are sketches formed from their hearts and minds. These two lovely and savvy girls have built an empire themselves to be able to produce what they really want, and thats something to support.
Their new collection which is available on their site and also Net-a-porter, is a collection of middle eastern inspired silk dresses. One of my favourite being the long wrap dress with bell sleeves and black satin trim bordering the cream patterned silk. It’s also an IT girl fav as recently worn by the gorgeous Pandora Sykes.
The red silk dress is one I’ve worn twice already. To an engagement party in Clapham and then a friends wedding in Spain last weekend. Both times I got so many compliments which is always great. I’m an 8 uk so go for their size smalls. Do also note that because I am petite I had to have the red dress taken up at the shoulders. Totally worth it.
