The seasons are changing, AGAIN. And it’s now 1time to pack away those summer dresses and sandals in favour of those trusty transitional pieces. Now this journey is never easy, for anyone. The airs humid but the sky’s are grey, and everything you try on just doesn’t seem to have you weather safe. So what do we do…
THE LIGHT JACKET
Yes you need one, it’s going to have your back when all of a sudden the heavens open and you’re still in that white summer dress. Plus this is also a way of still getting some wear out of those summer dresses. Midi dresses look great with light oversized trench coats on top. Also that khaki military is perfect for this type of weather. The jacket of the season? The checked blazer. They’ve made a huge surprise come back and they’ve made it big. But make it double breasted or don’t even bother.
I love knitwear. Big and chunky. It’s also great for those colder days but when an actual coat is still not appropriate. Also remember when I said I now love a cardigan, this is the perfect season for them! Draped over a slip dress or hung over a slogan tee and jeans.
Winter shoes are always harder. And in this mid season is when that pain really peaks. It’s too soon for boots. At least wait until mid October right? So for now stick to loafers and trainers. It’s also a super laid back look (trainers) with the checked double breasted blazer, it makes it less office and more chic.
The ‘IT’ fabric this season is corduroy, so grab it, in anything you can and be totally ahead of the fashion pack.
