I’m not a beauty blogger, not even a fan of make up, I hate the feeling of wearing it and wipe it of at any possible moment. But, I wear it, I pick things I ‘think’ will enhance my features, buy products recommend to me from make up artists whilst on shoot, or grab the latest craze my make up obsessed sister is into. Also I still find that there’s not too much out there for darker skin tones. Yes there’s lots of brands that do have darker shades, but how many of them are suitable? Surely all Indian girls cant be put into 4 different tones?

So, at the moment, these are the tricks that I use for a (hopefully) natural, glowy, enhanced face.

I am forever trying new foundations, running into Selfridges and begging the make up artists to find a solution for my warm toned skin, requiring full coverage without the feeling of wearing anything. At the moment I use the new YSL Touche Eclat foundation, in B70. It’s super light light and build-able, also the coverage is amazing. The only down side is the difference in shades is annoying, and I’m sick of being told to buy two and mix. I’M NOT A MAKE UP ARTIST, I CANT DO THAT EVERY MORNING. So while my tan is still here, the foundation works, with a lighter concealer that is. But when it fades, I think I might try Mac’s super light Face and Body Foundation as a friend of mine recently wore it on her wedding day and her face was glowing!

Another slight moan, darker lips are harder to accommodate when looking for a neutral tone. I have a million lipsticks and pencils that I’ve tried. I always like to wear something as my lips are pretty dark and uneven in tone. At the moment I’m into MAC’s lip pencil in Chicory, that with a little balm is my temporary solution.

I like to look shinny, but only in the right areas. My favourite highlighter of the moment is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow kit.

Keeping it natural by using the same colour I use as a light contour on my cheeks for my eye lids also. Its a mineralising powder from MAC, in shade Deep Dark.

When I’m out for meetings I don’t want to be sneaking off to reapply my face, also I have slightly oily skin, and that kind of shine is not the one I want. Having tried the Urban Decay ‘All Nighter’ setting spray. (Recommend by my little sister) its changed my life. It keeps my face on most of the day, and minimises the shine.
