I love a t-shirt, I mean there’s nothing sexier than a white tee and a pair of perfectly fitting straight leg jeans. Minimal, chic, and completely head turning when worn with buckets of sass. Yes we can attract men/women when looking casual too, well that’s what I keep telling myself. I love to look underdressed, like I haven’t made too much of an effort, more of a ‘cool’ look than ‘fabulous’. – me and a pal were laughing the other day about how she rather look fab me and cool.

Anyways, so for the last 10 years or so I’ve been searching for the perfect t-shirt. One that doesn’t hug, but then isn’t too oversized. I want it to be a little sheer but not too much, and the fabric, I mean I’m 29, I don’t have time for cheap feeling basics anymore. So, after a long search, and finally feeling comfortable with my current top half’s wardrobe, I thought I would share my top 5 faves with you:

Bought in the Summer, I quickly noticed how I would constantly be washing it ready for the next wear. Yes it totally caught me by surprise, I mean Warehouse have never been known for their t-shirts as far as I know, but it’s a total dream! Slightly sheer, the perfect sleeve lenght, silky but not silk. It’s one I try to save for best with my silk skirts etc, but I’ve just ordered two more so I’ll be wearing them 3 days out of the week from now on. Bought in my true size.

I love & Other Stories t-shirts, well I think it’s actually only the dark grey ones. They have that similar feel to the Warehouse one, soft and silky, but they’re even more oversized so the perfect slouch t-shirt. I’ve bought it in every print. Bought in my true size.

Topshop can never do anything wrong. There’s a basic for everything, and the t-shirt is no exception. Two weeks ago I got this white crop version, and yes its a basic, but a good one. Great for high waisted jeans as its a little cropped. Buy one size up.

I know they’re pricey, but I bought one of the Madeworn t-shirts last Summer and have worn it out for countless ‘nights out’. It’s my posh t-shirt, and does everything you would expect for £150. Bought in a small – my usual.

Another surprising one, but I have bought some open mouth smile worthy tee’s from Weekday. Just remember to go true to size, they’re already pretty big.
