WHAT TO BUY IN WINTER FOR A HOT HOLIDAY

Shopping for that Winter Sun holiday while the sales are on and it’s freezing outside isn’t great. You’re favourite sites are blurred with a cocktail of mixed seasonal clothes and the fear of more ‘out of stock’ signs make you shiver down to your core. This is serious, I know that pain. So to help you win in all your holiday looks, here’s an edit of what you need to buy now, pieces that I think will sell out and pieces that I know your’ll end up bringing out for every sunny moment for the next couple of years. Yes some of the below are expensive, but trust me, it’s the more higher-end investment pieces that have helped me stay clear of that holiday panic. Also I tried to add pieces from my actual holiday wardrobe, mixed with items on my wish lists.

THE DRESSES

Your holiday dresses need to be light and airy, dresses that can be dressed up and down, and more importantly, ones that can be worn on the beach and than straight to a fancy lunch/dinner. Those dresses were my fav and the ones that I kept migrating too.

Sometime’s you might be there for a special occasion, a birthday, anniversary, wedding, and then you might need something a little more special…

SWIMWEAR

I have collected a rather good collection of swimwear over the last couple of years now, choosing pieces I know will last and spending a little more to ensure they stand the test of time. I’ve also figured out exactly what time of shape I now like, before not knowing that it was even that important. I need to feel 100% confident in what I wear on the beach, and once I worked out the right fit, I know longer feared taking off the kaftan. My favourite at the moment have to be Hunza G and Jade Swim, they both fit amazingly on the bum, not cutting you off but instead working with your shape. Also anyone scared of the more thong style cut, just try it, you’ll be amazed at how much you actually like it.

OTHER SWIM I LOVE

The shoes/bags you bring are super important, these are the pieces that often make an outfit. I tend to stick to flats, and in wicker, but if you’re in need of a heel I love Castener wedges as they’re so comfortable!

THE UNDERDOG

Sarongs are back, make no mistake about it. Be ahead of the pack and invest in one you can keep forever.
