How hard was January?! Wow. It always seems to be a stressful yet dull month year after year, but this year of course we had the added gloom of the continued lockdown. While I’m unbelievably grateful to be safe and well, I fear that my love affair with the tracksuit is coming to an abrupt end. The endless hours, days and weeks of elasticated comfort now leave me feeling a little deflated. Yes, they’ve lost their magic. So welcome February, a fresh new month with endless fashion possibilities. The Spring/Summer 2021 collections are now slowly starting to drop online, and having lived in neutrals for the past 4 months, I’m excited to get my hands on some colour. I want prints, I want layers, I want Spring beauties I can wear now!
So to fill that need for fashion newness, below is an edit I’ve created with NET-A-PORTER full of perky Spring beauties to start working it your wardrobe right now. Think colour, pattern and layers.
The leather woven bags by Dragon Diffusion are a great way to slowly reintroducing those Spring accessories. The shape has that basket bag vibe, but the leather keeps it wearable for the current season.

A floral print with a black background is a great way to slowly reintroduce those more feminine prints back into your wardrobe. The dark base gives the print a more wintery feel, so when needing to add layers for the next few months, big chunky jumpers work well.

A chunky knit or cropped jacket is a great layer for floral dresses and skirts for those remaining colder weeks. This navy Khaite jumper is oversized but slightly cropped, so it evens out the proportions when teamed with maxi’s. In the summer I already know it will be my go to, either in my bag or wrapped around my waist ready for those cooler evenings.
