It was truly the end of an era when the announcement came that Topshop was closing. Not only had I spent 4 years of my styling career there, but like most of you, Topshop had been a big part of my evolving style since my early teens. It was the uber cool grown up shop, one I knew I could run to last minute before a night out, and find the perfect playsuit, heels and clutch bag. Topshop had grown up with us all, from our first skinny jean purchase to platform heels and bikinis. It allowed us to experiment with trends whilst we figured out who we were in the fashion world. Carrying us through birthday parties to clubbing, to holidays and weddings. It was THE brand. But all is not lost. In fact, Topshop is still up and running with some of its most iconic styles, thanks to the babes at ASOS. And if you’re anything like me and not quite as comfortable in your 2019 attire post lockdown, Topshop are still leading the way for the ultimate basics.
Thankfully this season is all about oversized, more relaxed clothing

A straight, looser jean is the way to go this season. Try the iconic Editor jean for a traditional fitted high-rise waist, with a straight cropped leg. Or go for oversized with the baggy dad jean, worn high on the waist and long and loose on the leg
