HOW I’M WEARING MIDI SKIRTS THIS WINTER

So I’m really getting into my Winter wardrobe now. I’ve put all my summer bits into storage, and am slowly working my way through last years winter pieces. What I have noticed is that I lived in my jeans most of last winter. Of course that’s fine, and I really do love that oversized knit, straight leg jean and ankle boots look, this year I want to experiment a little more. In the summer when you don’t have to think about cold weather and rain, it’s a lot easier to go with what feels good on the day, but in Winter you have to prep a little more.

This skirt is one I wore for pre-fall, with a cream bandeau as it was still warm in September. Now in October, this is how I’m wearing it.

On a nice Winters day when no coat is needed, go for an oversized knit and cleverly tuck in at the front to even out proportions.

A midi skirt will last you a lifetime. Go for an Autumnal shade in a classic aline shape.

Tall boots underneath will keep you warm and ensure you can team with a mix of skirt lengths. Will also team these with leggings and quilted coats on the nursery run.
