I’m not a fan of changing during the day, I like my look to work for all purposes, whether that’s going for brunch, meetings, working from home or picking up the baby. This look has to be able to tick all those boxes, from casual mornings, to drinks with the girls occasions. I usually manage this by playing with a few different textures, like a cashmere jumper and silky bias cut skirt. An extremely comfortable fit on the body, and those luxe fabrics give that dressier feel. However this season I’ve been looking more closely at combat style trousers and skirts – a trend which is going to be big news for SS23. This more boxy/casual style also looks great with a simple cashmere jumper. A It has that quiet luxury vibe. Talking of cashmere, Reformation, a company who are constantly evolving on their fashion journey for sustainability, have just launched their new 90% recycled cashmere collection. Which is buttery smooth.
To finish a day to night look, I would grab a leather boot. Someone once said to me ‘there’s no such think as bad weather, only unsuitable clothing’, and that really made me think about dressing more for the weather, and a pair of boots will ensure I wont be running home in fear of cold toes – especially with our London weather.
