THE BOILERSUIT, AND HOW TO WEAR IT

I bought this boiler-suit at the start of Autumn last year, and I’ve worn it non stop since. A boiler suit in a medium weight material, oversized and nipped in, in all the right areas, in a colour which slots right into your working wardrobe is pretty hard to find. And I’ve found it with this Isabel Marant one.

With a few dotting around in the sale, I thought I would answer one of the most common questions when it comes to the oversized overalls; how do you wear them?

THE BOILER SUIT

THE COAT

For this style, I think a hip length, oversized coat is the perfect cut off, and evens out the proportions. I’ve been wearing my green quilted one by Frankie Shop with it recently. However saying that about proportions, if you did want to go longer, my Toteme mac is also a favourite pairing. The sleeves are billowed, and the hem skims my ankles. If choosing one from the hightstreet I would always go up a size or two to create the same vibe.

THE SHOES

I’m one for comfort, not matter what the event. I think it gives off this effortless vibe, especially when the rest of the look is a little crisp and tailored. Since Autumn I’ve been wearing those New Balance non stop, but most recently I pulled out the Birkenstocks. Both worn with a chunky cashmere sock.

THE BAG

To finish the look go for one of those small 90’s style bags. Something simple and clean with pull the whole look together.
