I’m a sucker for a good coat. It’s the item of choice for me whenever making a new purchase, and I justify this by stating that a good coat will always steal the show. Whatever you have on underneath, it’s all covered up most of the time, especially if you live in London like me. But that being said, what goes hand in hand with that theory, is that you need a couple of good bases to make that simple formal possible. A few good tee’s, simple trousers, a black skirt. All these ‘filler’s’, give you the ability to create easy throw on looks, saving time, and eventually money along the way. I’m a huge fan of investing in pieces if possible. Items that you know you’ll wear over and over again. And this includes the basics too.
So here’s my most recent edit with NET-A-PORTER, dedicated to good, simple wardrobe maths.
